I’ve been writing in a journal since the age of seven and haven’t stopped yet. Throughout my forties, I published several articles and wrote an ebook, Creating Your Own Yoga Practice. As I’m approaching fifty, my writing has turned to personal essays and fiction. Although a nonfiction book on breathing is tucked away on my computer, my current passion resides in the art of story telling, stories that inspire or cause us to think or see the world in a slightly different manner.
I draw my material from five decades of experience, including dealing with scoliosis as a teenager, working as a software engineer, staying at home to raise two boys, teaching yoga and tai chi, and later mathematics. Most of all, my writing reflects strong memories, simple everyday living, or interesting facts I read about.
I’ve traveled to four continents and hope to move to the mountains of North Carolina, or maybe even Germany, with my husband, Mike, and our dachshund, Pippin.
